Beauty Buzz: The English Mineral Makeup Company

There are a few things in the make-up world that really get the team at TLBG excited; British brands and good for your skin make-up are definitely amongst the top. 

This summer a brand new make-up range has launched into the UK, and it combines both of these and more.

The English Mineral Makeup Company has been lovingly created by a Mother and Daughter duo who were looking to find something a little bit extra from their make-up. In an age where we expect a whole lot more than a bit of coverage, they couldn’t find what they wanted so, in their own words, “they made it!”.

As people search for more skin-friendly make-up, mineral products have been on the rise. But, take note, as not all mineral make-up is created equally. With this in mind, Jeanette and Grace set about creating their very own mineral brand using the highest quality and purest mineral ingredients available.

There were two main focuses in their cosmetic creation; non-irritating to problem skin and a traceless finish for more mature complexions. It was these needs that transformed an idea into reality, and so The English Mineral Makeup Company was born; a sustainable UK brand with integrity, uncompromising quality and effectiveness.

There are so many things about this new brand that we love; it only contains 100% mineral ingredients, with no additives like mineral oil, chemicals, fragrances or preservatives. It’s also cruelty free and vegan too. Each product also comes with its very own complimentary EMM kabuki, worth £15.

The range has launched with an amazing 25 foundation shades, plus bronzers and blushers, and what we’ve been most intrigued about; a Fairy Godmother powder.

The multi-tasking powder, so aptly named, offers a truly unique experience. Its light reflecting formula helps to dramatically change the appearance of your skin. You can wear it either as a primer beneath your foundation or as a setting powder on top. It’s also translucent, so it can be used by all skin tones, with a beautiful finish that makes an amazing yet subtle illuminator and highlighter. With added ingredients like Jojoba Oil and other natural anti-oxidants, it’ll keep your skin feeling moisturised, comfortable and oh so smooth!

The brand has already been voted as number 1 mineral make-up by Grazia Daily, and has also been voted top 10 illuminator by the Evening Standard and top 10 mineral foundation by the Independent.
