It wouldn't be a British Summer without a bit of rain now would it? Although it can be pretty depressing when you've planned a day at the beach, or a picnic in the park, and all you can see is grey clouds filling the sky, trust us, there is a silver lining. Rainy days or evenings give you the chance to have some much needed me time or catch up on that rainy day list.
Here are our top five things to do on a rainy day:
Spa at Home
Use this much savoured indoor time to get your bath bombs out, face masks on, and get those bubbles bubbling with a deep filled bath. Pampering doesn't just have to be in a spa, and it doesn't have to cost a fortune either.
Make the most of those drisely hours, get your manis on and your pedicures ready. There's never enough time for a pamper and when your stuck indoors why not?
Clean your Make-up Brushes
Clean your Make-up Brushes
You either love it or you hate it, but it's got to be done. Make effective use of your time inside and give your make-up brushes a thoroughly deep cleanse. Cleaning your brushes regularly is an absolute must. Your brushes can harbour dirty, grime and even bacteria so be productive with your entrappement and get cleaning!
Get Creative
If you're a blogger rainy days can be a blessing in disguise. Use this time to get super organised, plan your posts, stock up on your flatlays, and get writing or recording!
With all types of blogging, organisation is key. Get ahead and you'll be forever greatful.
Don't forget to be social, get on your Hootsuit or Twitter Account and bet scheduling! Revisiting old posts and share some of your favourites with your audience. Key times are 7-9, 12-2 and 6-8!
Catch up on Reading
Whether you're a novel addict or you can't get enough of reading blogs. Give yourself some time to sit back, relax and enjoy getting stuck into a real page-turner or find out if that new wonder product is really worth all the hype!
There are heaps of great blogs out there from beauty, to cooking and DIY so there is lots to keep you busy. And of course, don't forget to catch up on all the news at TLBG too!
Netflix
If you're anything like us you've got a list as long as your arm of shows to watch. Maybe you've been waiting for a marathon of OITNB or you're killing yourself trying to uncover the mystery of A in PLL.
When it's wet outside, grab your duvet, a large coffe, juice or even a wine, and get comfy. We recommending cooking up some treats too - double chocolate and salted caramel cookies anyone? Or some healthy home-roasted nuts or aubergine (eggplant) pizzas, and enjoy the ultimate duvet day in your pjs.
