What We Say:

We love a good cleansing balm here at TLBG HQ and we've tired a fair few. Emma Hardie is a brand always raved about by one of our all time favourite bloggers Caroline Hirons - and from testing this balm out we can definitely see why!

The first thing you notice when you unscrew the lid is the gorgeous scent of delicate, but zesty, oranges. The balm has a lovely silky consistency - and melts to a soft oil when warmed in your hands.

To apply the formula, take an almond sized amount of the balm, warm between your palms and press into the skin. Then, gently massage into your face and neck. It's safe to use around your eyes and will remove your make-up - no probs. As the balm is massaged it will begin to lift away any dirt and make-up on your skin. Also, using a balm encourages you to facial massage - which has been proven to help improve the skins plumpness and helps to smooth out fine lines too!

Using a microfibre cloth (or simple face cloth) you now need to remove it. Emma recommends you use a warm wet (obvs ring it out a bit) cloth in lines rather than circular motions. This helps to maintain the moisture level in the skin and keep it plump - work with the grain not against it!

We found the balm removed our make-up well and left our skin feeling very clean - but comfortable and us not running to the moisturiser! The smell was sensational and it was fine to use on pretty much any skin type - from oily to dry. we followed with our normal skincare regime and use her mask over night too.

Over the course of a week we noticed a big improvement on our skin. Skin was brighter, much plumper and appeared to be better hydrated too. Blemishes were reduced and our skin felt good. Maybe it was the massaging, maybe it was the balm, either way together they have really made our faces feel refreshed and revived.

In A Nut Shell:

We have already repurchased this balm - and intend to keep on doing so! It isn't a bad price in comparison to other premium lines (infact it's almost half he price of Eve Lom). It smells fabulous, it make us feel fabulous and, all round, it really is just fabulous.
