If you’re anything like us, you could go through your week feeling like you never actually switch off (mentally AND literally - those damn devices!). It’s so important to set aside a bit of time for some proper relaxation, regardless of how small a chunk of time you have free. A home spa day, afternoon or evening is the ideal fit for us when we’re badly in need of some dedicated ‘me time’. Let's do it...
Prep - Turn the lights down, light some candles, run a hot bath, dig out your favourite pan pipes cd (as if?) or select your ‘Relaxation’ playlist. If you don’t have a Relaxation playlist, why not? Enya or a whale song download will suffice.
Scrub - Slough away the dead skin cells with a refreshing scrub. You might want to have a quick rinse off in the shower before you hop in the bath to avoid a scratchy silt.
Bathe - Take a lovely, soothing, blissful hot bath. Add in your favourite bath oil, lie back and enjoy the calm. Tea / wine is optional.
Nourish - Once you’re out of the bath and dried off, apply a face mask and leave to set while you slather your body with your chosen oils, creams or lotions. Now is also a great time to slick your tootsies with foot cream and pop them in to a pair of fetching moisturising socks (see 7). After you're finished with the mask, treat your face with your very best beauty buys. We’re talking moisture masks, serums, facial oils and all that jazz. Not all at once obviously.
