For those that aren't familiar with strobing, (you'd have to have been avoiding the internet to have missed it), it's the not-so-new contouring.
We spent most of 2015 using matte bronzers and shading the angles of our jaws and cheek bones to give us depth and definition. Now, in 2016 it's all about dewy skin and glowing complexions. It's a pretty easy concept, instead of 'shading the shade', it's about highlighting those bits that naturally catch the light. Easy right?
There are lots of different types of illuminators - meaning there's a highlighter for all budgets and all skin types whether you prefer creams, powders or liquids.
To keep you firmly on the strobing bandwagon, take a look at some of the highlighters we've been lusting over at TLBG HQ.
The iconic lady, CT herself has created this marvellous palette. Its cool highlighter will ensure your inner Hollywood glows like a dream. It also has a pretty fabulous bronzer too - incase you need to add a few angles!
This powder is loved by oh so many. It is pure light in a blush. Use if around the outer bone structure of the eye area and also along the bridge of your nose and upper lip for a subtle yet defined glow.
For the anti-powder-people this value product from Rimmel is great! It's a cream highlighter and gives your skin a beautiful dewy glow. Great for those that like a fresh complexion and aren't a huge fan of excess powders.
Everyones favourite, Benefit High Beam will shed a cool pearlescent light everywhere you put it. It's creamy but dries matte and is definitely a cult product!
Illamasqua's gleam is just the ticket for a subtle highlight. It blends easily with a rich creamy formula and looks great over your foundation.
Inika are a great brand or organic makeup that is cruelty free. This lovely little tube of gold toned highlighter gives you a warm glow where ever you apply it. We love it on the tops of our cheeks.
A quick and easy way to pop a little light on! Clinique's chubby sticks are a great product to chuck in your bag and take on the go - there is ZERO leakage from these bad boys! They are easy to apply and super easy to blend - and the effect is great too!
