Beauty Cards, A Definitive Guide

To help you shop savvy, our Beauty Editor Emily and guest blogger Bethan Winner have put together the definitive guide to beauty loyalty cards so you can make your pennies go further and enjoy lots of free treats!

Who loves a bargain? We do, and beauty point cards are a great way to save some money and get your hands on free samples. Here we look at some of the best beauty cards available in the UK to save you £’s when buying your favorite products.

Boots Advantage Card

Probably the most popular card out there, the Boots Advantage Card is free to sign up to and you earn a whopping 4 points for every £1 you spend! Every point you collect is worth a penny, which you can spend in store at any time. The only disadvantage to this card is that you can only use your points to pay for an entire transaction - so you can’t use it to get money off of one big shop unlike some other cards.

With the Boots Advantage Card you can also pick up your free copy of the Boots magazine and receive some amazing vouchers for money off your favourite products, and lots of extra point offers.

Space NK N.dulge Card

If you're a fan of high-end beauty then it's worth getting your hands on an N.dulge Card. At Space NK you can earn 1 point for every £1 you spend with your N.dulge card. So if you're a NARS addict, an Eve Lom lover, or simply a Lipstick Queen fanatic, you'll start building those points up in no time at all.

When your card reaches 100 points you’ll get sent a £5 reward voucher as well as receive exclusive invitations, birthday treats and reviews as soon as you've signed up.  If your card reaches 1000 or more points within a 12-month period then you'll be auto-upgraded to receive a fabulous £10 reward voucher for every 100 points you earn.

Superdrug Beauty Card

This is a great card for when you're stocking up on essentials as you can earn points for everything you buy from toothpaste to tampons. You can pick up a Superdrug Beauty Card in store and earn 1 point for every £1 you spend.

They're not quite as generous as Boots, but for every 100 points you earn you’ll get £1 to spend next time you’re in store. Also, unlike the Boots Advantage Card, you can use your Superdrug points against the value of any purchase - meaning as long as you've got 50p on your card you can use it towards your shopping.

Debenhams Beauty Club Card

With the Debenhams Beauty Club Card you can earn points on over 200 beauty products and fragrances. It's free to apply, simply sign up online or in store.

For every 500 points you rack up, you'll get a £5 voucher to spend. The card also gives you a heap of benefits including complimentary makeovers, free samples, and free delivery! You can often give yourself a boost in their double points and beauty events, so keep your eyes peeled.

The points are added up each month and a statement is sent through to your inbox. The biggest downside to the Debenhams Beauty Club Card is the points do expire! So you have to be quick or you'll be collecting from scratch again.

Sephora Beauty Insider

Sephora now ships to the UK  (hurrah!) meaning we can get all of the benefits too!

The Sephora Beauty Insider card comes at three levels depending on how much you spend in one calendar year. You start with the standard Beauty Insider, and after you've spent $350 you go up to VIB. Then, when you hit $1000 you’ll be part of the very elite VIB Rouge club. The higher your level the more freebies you can get!

The standard Beauty Insider package also includes a birthday gift, free beauty classes, and great seasonal promotions. It's a huge favourite in the US, and i'm sure it'll soon be just as loved by us Brits here too!

The Body Shop Love Your Body Card

This is the only card we've featured that you have to pay for. The Love Your Body card costs £5 per year; however it offers you an instant saving.

Each and every time you use your card you’ll receive a massive 10% off! Another perk, that makes this one of our top cards, is the stamp collecting. Every time you spend over £10 you receive a stamp. On your 4th stamp you receive a free product up to the value of £5, and on your 8th up to the value of £10. And as if that wasn't enough, you also get treated to another product up to the value of £5 when it’s your birthday, as well as exclusive news, offers and invitations to member events.

Liberty Beauty Loyalty

For every £1 you spend in Liberty's gorgeous Beauty Hall (or online)  you’ll receive a beauty loyalty point. You can collect your points to claim vouchers. You’ll receive £5 to use in the Beauty Hall, Bath House or Treatment Room for every 150 points you collect in one month.

As a member of Beauty Loyalty, you will also receive invitations to master classes and exclusive events, insider tips and a special beauty gift for your Birthday.

We've got to be honest, you've got to spend quite a lot to get the benefits of this card, but you can pick your own card from a few beautiful designs - and it comes in handy when you're Christmas shopping!

House of Fraser Beauty Recognition

This card is pretty similar to the Debenhams Beauty Club Card. You’ll receive 1 point for every pound spent at House of Fraser. When you reach 500 points, you’ll be rewarded with a £5 voucher.

The great thing about this card is you can earn points on WHATEVER you buy! Whether it’s shoes or a bag, mascara or a lip gloss, they all work towards getting you those lovely beauty treats.

As we know, House of Fraser is often home to humongous MAC counters, and beautiful Benebabes, so it wont be long until you're enjoying your vouchers!
